Help Meeeeee! (24 weeks)

Look at her face here. Ha!

Scary! But Cute!

This is an outfit from my mom, isn't it cute? V is lying on the futon mattress downstairs, it's a wreck from Anthony and Maria tromping all over it. She has been sleeping v. v. badly, so I don't want to talk about it. She also is super cute but has started to pull the holy hell out of my hair. OUCH.

Jenny

This outfit was Maria's, from my cousin Jenny. It's so cute. Veronica is back to waking twice a night, which stinks, but I am just trying to keep the tv off and not look at my phone or anything so I can go right back to sleep. She sleeps for 12 hours with two wakings, which I guess isn't that bad. She's cried like the devil herself today, going down for naps, which is depressing, but what can you do? Birds fly, babies cry, as my sleep book doctor says.

23 Weeks

I have to say, the weeks are flying by. Imagine that it took having three kids for me to have the time go by fast. V is doing fine, sweet as ever, although she was fired UP in the car today after getting Anthony. Traffic was awful and I had to stop and get gas. Whenever she is screaming like that and stops, I always am afraid she's passed out. She's moving around a lot, rolling rolling, all over the floor. She is in six month clothes. In just a few weeks, we'll start her on food, which seems fast, but which I am really excited about. Maybe she'll start to love a bottle, too? Please, God?

Hee

I wonder, sometimes, what she's so worried about. The recession? What she's going to get for Christmas? Sheesh. Relax.

Sigh

I don't even know what to say. Isn't she cute? She's been so sweet lately, she loves to ... well, make out, is the only way I can describe it. She loves to throw open her mouth and kiss and kiss and kiss. It's almost too much, sometimes.

Five Months

Oh, this crappy camera, combined with the dark dark day in our dark dark livingroom, sorry about the poor quality! I was thinking the other night, as I was nursing Veronica, it's great that she never really had a soft spot on her head. I am always kind of freaked out by those, and both Anthony and Maria had them. Then I was thinking What's So Great About Veronica? Like I am always (as you all know) very willing to say what's WRONG with these kids, so I thought I'd focus on what's so great about them. So, starting with Veronica, I'll say what's so great about her:

She's got no soft spot on her head
She is a very good nurser
She is just the right size for her age clothes
She has a very funny, sweet smile. Sometimes when I'm nursing her, she falls asleep and then she'll seem to wake up and smile at me, this gigantic smile, and it's magical, I swear. Also I think "oh noes!" because she's waking up, but she always snuggles in and goes to sleep
She is big and strong. She has been holding up her head forever, it seems, and wanting to stand up on her legs
She sleeps in the closet and never complains at all
She is gorgeous
She is not so grumpy anymore
She's my third and I'm the third
Her head is always really warm and on chilly mornings, when I hold her in my lap, she warms my chin and head
She loves to hold hands while she nurses, she is cuddly
She puts up with a lot from Anthony and Maria - cold ignoring from one, and way too much love from the other
She is our sweet little Veronica Lucy, we're so lucky to have her, and we look forward to one million more months with her

Suspicion

Oh, Veronica. You were sleeping so well. What happened? Why does it seem reasonable to wake up at 10:00 and 1:00? WHY LORD WHY? :) I am actually hopeful that she will get better again. She is napping okay and getting on a schedule there, so I'm sure that has something to do with it. Her disposition is mostly good and she does go right back to sleep. It's just - we were doing so well! Damn you, ability to roll over! :)

My camera is driving me insane and I have no time to figure out what's wrong with it, but I thought this was a cute picture.

Sunday

Hee. She cracks me up. She is upstairs right now, screaming away. I have been trying to get her down for her morning nap for like ... two weeks? She is having none of it. Maybe one out of ten days she'll go to sleep without screaming and screaming. It's very hard to listen to, but I know that I have to get her to go to sleep on her own. Last night she woke up yelling after I laid her down for the night for the first time in a long time. In short, she was sleeping well and now she is not sleeping so great. Kind of like Maria, which terrifies me.

Someone asked me how old I was the other night and I said 41. No, 40? I literally could not remember. I know it's old, though! I feel every second of it. I can't type anymore because Maria is pulling my fingers off the keyboard and this is taking me forever. Please, someone tell me again how much I'll miss these days! And how precious they are!

21 Weeks? I think?

It's unbelievable how hard it is to get some freaking pictures posted. My nerves are shot by the time I get to poor Veronica's post. Here she is, on the couch, away from Maria, where everyone is safer and happier.

Hat

That hat is size 6-9 months, these kids have the biggest damned heads. Mike took all three out front today while I finished working out and took a shower, which is very brave of him. Veronica slept ... well I was going to say well, but I guess not really. I didn't take her up til 8:30 and then she only slept until 11:22 (to be exact). I fed her and we went back up at 1:00 and then she woke up at like 6:00 and went back, with me, til 7:30. It's still better than with Maria, because 11:30 is very early for her to wake up - it's usually at least 2:30 and sometimes 3:30 or 4:00. Ugh. That's a lot of numbers, but I don't want to forget anything. Not that I could. I can still remember every wakeup with Anthony, it feels like. She was in her crib for the first time last night, too, which made it weird, I guess. She is in the portable crib that we bought for Anthony. It's been at my parent's house. It's bigger but it fits better in the closet, because it goes right up against the wall. This is dullsville, even to me, so I'll close.

Ha

In answer to Stephanie's question, she is 4.5 months and I've had her in this for a week or two. But she is tougher than the other two. Even Anthony was like 5 months old, and then I had to put a blanket in there with him. She has been very upright, almost from the beginning. She is getting too big for that damned bassinet we have her in, we are going to try to get the portable crib set up this weekend in her closet. Then soon, someone is going to get better at sleeping and someone can share a room with her. I don't know who.

20 Weeks

Crappy picture, I know! But there is something wrong with my camera, I forgot last week's picture, and she is so big and cute in the exersaucer I want to get her in it whie I can. She is rolling over like a crazy person, and has been for like two weeks! That seems very early to me. She is napping badly, sleeping well, and cute as a button. She comes to Maria's new Toddler and Me class and is so, so good. That helps a lot because Maria is very, very bad in the class. I can't believe she's almost five months old. In one month I can start giving her solids and maybe a sippy cup soon after that. Then I can go away for the weekend. :)
