I am not documenting this pregnancy very well. I found out last week that I am borderline for Gestational Diabetes so I am just going to skip the three hour test and test my blood sugar here at home. I think it will be fine, I don't anticipate any problems, especially since my test was so borderline. I just got all my crap today from the drugstore - I had some trouble getting a hold of the nurse at my OB's office and then I had some trouble with the insurance company getting my prescriptions for my lancets, strips, etc., filled but now it's all set and I'll start testing tomorrow. I got a new meter, it's so tiny and it's not supposed to hurt that much. The pharmacist was funny, she was like "I have purple and blue today but if you wait until tomorrow, I'll have more colors for you to choose from". Who are these people that would need a different color blood sugar meter? Crazy.
The baby is doing fine, as of last week was measuring just one week ahead, which is typical for my kids so far. I, on the other hand, am measuring FOUR weeks ahead, but my doctor thinks that it could be because I had Maria so recently. If I have any worries about having kids so closely together, it's that I am going to have two c-sections in 16 months. But I have had excellent recoveries so far, so I am hopeful that the third time will be a charm.
I have ultrasound pictures but honestly they are not that great so I'm just going to file them. The tech (who in my opinion is KIND OF OPINIONATED) said she "didn't like the look" of how much fluid I had, so she might see me again" so maybe I'll have more pictures before the baby is born. I hear great things about the hospital where I am having the baby, which will be a nice change after the women's prison where I had Anthony and Maria.
